Wellness is mai-joi

Hello everyone, and welcome to "Wellness is mai-joi." Wellness is mai-joi is a space for me, Tamia, to be vulnerable and candid about my experiences in my 20's. This blog should be used as a resource for others to facilitate wellness and self-care. I have been fortunate enough to be in such spaces with Black women and other women of color. Now, this is the time to hold space for others and to create our own 'safe' space. 

A few things we want to do with this platform is to let everyone know exactly what wellness is and how they can create that feeling/being for themselves. There are 8 dimensions of wellness that will be discussed and each of our posts will touch base on at least one dimension. These will be objective and coupled with our experiences, of course. In all, our goal is to let others know that they aren't alone in this journey. We am here, and there are multitudes of other people here dealing in the same kinds of situations. 

We want to be a vessel. We want a relatable community. We want to cultivate healing. Wellness is our joy, we hope that it can become your joy, too.
